First off, my heat is fixed. They came back to do the winter maintenance and found an issue with the other unit so I’m here to say that life keeps adulting and that adulting is hard.
WhimsyWares Launch
I’m a day late this week because we wanted to get whimsywares.online up and running so you could add custom plates and bowls to your gift list, to get and to give, this year. This is another avenue you can support both Callie and me. It’s functional and adorable and customizable. What more could you ask for? This is why I am giddy. We’ve been working on this for months and to see if come to fruition is just incredible. We created a Shopify site. We got on the phone with the VP of a company. We’ve had Zoom meetings, many many Zoom meetings.
Festivals
When it comes to the festivals, each event starts as an empty palette, waiting to be drawn upon. The vendors start arriving and getting set up and then the once empty space, becomes alive and vibrant, waiting for all of you to add to the excitement and energy. At the end of the day, we go back to an empty space, a space that now holds memories for so many people.
This is how I feel about this website. It all started with an email and it has now culminated into a new avenue of business. Check it out and let us know what you think. Our holiday collection is up plus the ability to make a custom plate design. Think puppies and kittens, piggies, and chickens, and of course your family and children. It’s a great way to create a memory that will last forever because the plates are unbreakable!
Thanksliving
On another note, I am heading to NY for Thanksliving. It’s my first time going back since moving to NC in 2011. I’m forgoing the countries largest vegan Thanksliving on Thursday, but I hope if you’re local to Durham, NC that you are attending. I will be attending the Tuesday dinner prior in Chapel Hill.
I’ll be attending the World Plant Based Expo in NYC on December 2 and 3. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet the decision makers of plant based products and connect with them to be a part of the festivals in some form or manner. It’s why our swag and VIP bags are so incredible year after year. Check out this reel I created to highlight the expo and who we might see there. Yes, this is another thing I am giddy about. 🙂
My hope is to create the next newsletter on Wednesday of next week because on Thursday I will be surrounded by family eating my catered all vegan meal that I ordered so I could ensure that I would have food to eat. Did I mention that my family is not vegan and neither is the food? I also had Dare Vegan Cheese shipped so everyone can partake in a little sneaky vegan deliciousness during the meal. You can order for your holiday until Sunday to ensure it reaches you on time.
