Food Insecurity

First, last weekend was The Refuge Gala and it was as wonderful as it was last year. They were able to raise money for the animals. Donations for all the sanctuaries are down so if you’re able to help, please do.

Help Eric & Ryan

Keeping with this theme, Eric the owner of Stuffyman’s Food Truck, had his truck blow up with him and his employee in it. Yes, they were burned and yes, they are both in the hospital. They both have Go Fund Me’s. If you know Eric and even if you don’t, a donation will help. Donate to Eric here. Donate to Ryan here.

Many people are facing the possibility of food insecurity. If this is you, please reach out to me. I will find vegan vendors in your city and ask them to help.

Veganism in Action

At Triangle Vegfest in Durham this weekend many of our vendors are going to give free food to attendees that show their EBT card. We are accepting nonperishable food donations at our booth this weekend as well. If you don’t have an EBT card and still need food, ask and see what has been donated. We will help you.

If you’re attending and you’re in a good place, please bring donations to help others.

Veganism in Action is about community. It’s about helping. It’s about doing something.

It warms my heart that our vendors are willing to help. It’s brought tears to my eyes.

Times are not easy. I want every single one of us to get through these hard times and I would love to see all of us helping one another to get through it.

I would love for each and every one of you to do what you can within your community. It’s the right thing to do. I’m a big believer in doing the right thing.
